A contractor was working in close proximity to a live cable within the POC excavation using a mini-digger. The digger bucket slipped off the concrete and contacted the cable. As per the RAMS a hand dig using the appropriate hand tools should have been carried out at this location of work. This SHEQ Alert is being issued to reinforce the importance of safe working practices regarding working in close proximity to underground services.
